We were unable to host an induction banquet in 2020 and 2021, so we decided to put together a video that highlights the exceptional work that our 2020 and 2021 inductees have done for our community. Thank you to our sponsors for financial assistance with this video: Unidos Marketing; Darcy Motors; Wermer, Rogers, Doran & Ruzon; and High PSI Ltd.

Joliet West High School Vaccination Clinic effort has been selected to receive this prestigious award in recognition of its incredible response to the Covid pandemic. The history of the clinic’s establishment at Joliet West High School is one of a community coming together in a time of need. When the vaccines became available, a coordinated distribution effort was essential. With the Joliet Fire Department leading the way through the coordination of Chief Blaskey and Deputy Chief Carey, it was a team effort with many moving parts to get the clinic up and running. The collaboration included Will County Executive Dr. Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, Amita St. Joseph Medical Center with leadership from Dr. Jon Strotkamp, Joliet Township High School under the leadership of Dr. Karla Guseman, and the Will County Health Department under the leadership of Susan Olenek. Numerous volunteer nurses and firefighters donated their time, and the efforts resulted in the administration of over 60,000 vaccines.
Miracle League of Joliet has been selected to receive this prestigious award in recognition of its incredible assistance to children and young adults with disabilities and tremendous efforts to provide them with an opportunity to experience the joy and benefits which come from playing baseball. We really love that you are in our city and represent what Joliet truly is about.
